We have extensive experience and a large quantity of equipment installed.
It is estimated that for the mere fact of visualizing and analyzing the consumption of an installation, it already implies a potential saving of up to 10%, making it a good investment, and a key point for any subsequent action to be taken in the field of Energy improvement.
In order to supervise the consumption of any installation we have two product ranges: : / , to choose depending on the installation.
Both product ranges are based on monitoring the different consumptions of the installation, as well as the distribution of these.
The consumptions to be taken into account in any type of installation would be:
Both product ranges work with the Modbus fieldbus, which is a protocol open to multiple manufacturers. Usually is installed one or several ethernet gateways (modbus-TCP) to RS485 (modbus), and from here pull the bus to all the equipment in the building (maximum 32 computers per gateway).
Below we present a typical example of 3 buildings with their associated consumption, in the 2 platforms.
In case of Circutor, the most commonly used gateways are:
TCP2RS+ | LM50TCP+ | EDS |
In case of the Schneider range:
EGX100 | EGX300+ |
In order to control the electrical consumptions, network analyzers are installed in the different subsystems, with their current transformers depending on the current of the line to be measured, and their associated auxiliary elements (disconnecting terminals, fuse holders, wiring ...). The most common equipment is the CVM Circutor electric analyzers, in their different varieties (with or without harmonic control):
CVMK2 | CVM-NRG96 | CVM-144 | CVM-MINI | CVM-BD |
Or its equivalent PM's from Schneider:
PM-9C | PM710 | PM820 | ION7550/ION7650 | Micrologic Compact NSX |
The Schneider equipment, has as an additional advantage, that its Micrologic Compact NSX switches also have modbus communication, and can directly indicate, by simply adding the communication module, the consumption of the line that is driving.
To control the rest of consumptions is done by integrating pulses. For this Circutor has several models, among which are:
LM50TCP+ | LM24 | R440TCP |
Each one of them has a large number of programmable inputs for the integration of pulses, while schneider has additional cards for some of its PMs in order to receive these pulses, taking advantage of the communication of the PM.
Putting, for example, gas meters, where an optional module is normally added to these meters to generate a voltage-free output that will give us a pulse for every 0.1m3 of gas passed through it. By matching the value of the totalizer at the start-up, we will always have the value of the counter in the system, being able to see both the accumulated value of the counter and the consumption in the format we want (time, daily, ...).
To control the rest of consumptions would have to do in a similar way to gas. The only difference would be the collector module of each of the different parameters, being very simple in the case of water (reed contact), and more complex in the case of district-heating / cooling (where You have to install a kamstrup or similar measurement equipment, able to give pulses according to each kwh of energy consumed, or using the new card with modbus communication, with which we will have access to all data of the equipment).
Above all, Circutor equipment will run the supervision program Circutor Power Studio, with its different variants and associated functionalities:
- EDS Circutor: It is an ethernet gateway, with integrated webserver, which has embedded the powerstudio circus inside, and allows to display all Circutor equipment data in real time, historical and trend graphics (either directly with the software client or through Web navigator).
- Power Studio Circutor: It allows to display all the data of equipment Circutor in real time, historical and trend graphs (either directly with the software client or via web browser).
- Circutor Power Studio Scada: Allows the above plus the creation of screens personalized type synoptic
- Circutor Power Studio Scada Deluxe: Allows the above plus the option to connect to non-Circutor equipment that communicate in modbus protocol.
Meanwhile, in the case of Schneider we will have more diverse options:
-Schneider EGX300: It is an ethernet-RS485 gateway, with a web server integrated inside, that for small consumption control facilities is sufficient, allowing to visualize all the data in real time, as well as its historical and trend graphs.
-Schneider Power Vision: Basic software limited to the low product range (PM9C, PM200, PM500, PM700, PM800, ION 6200) that allows you to view all the data in real time, as well as your history and trend graphs.
-Schneider Struxureware Power Monitoring: Advanced data acquisition software, which allows all of the above plus the option of connecting with the entire product range (including the range of Micrologic Compact NSX Switches).
-Schneider Struxureware Energy Online: Another approach to supervisory systems. It is a subscription system, in which the consumer interrogation software is located on a Schneider server and maintained by it. The client will have different tools to see the consumption either through pc with a web browser, using iphone or ipad with a native application for these.
On the other hand, recently we have become partners of Dexma, being able to offer our customers the monitoring and analysis software Dexcell Energy Manager, which is a very powerful tool that allows us, not only to control consumption, but to translate these to money and track all energy costs online.
Another very interesting feature of this system is that allows us to see the evolution of consumption in different periods of time, and also compare it with other buildings, taking into account the compensation of consumption by outside temperature (degrees day).
Dexcell Energy Manager, is a software compatible with 90% of energy monitoring equipment on the market, so if you have the installation of some type of meter, it is highly probable that it is integrable in the platform.
